Tenesia “Neesha” Parks
Owner & Lead Event Producer
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Neesha’s love for event planning and design came from watching and assisting her parents as they hosted events in their household.
When Neesha turned 18, she joined the United States Air Force and that’s where her love for event planning developed even more. She volunteered to plan squadron events on a regular basis. Neesha planned, coordinated, and/or decorated numerous holiday parties, social events ranging from NCO Balls to Super Bowl Parties, and birthday parties within her 14 years in the Air Force.
After Neesha moved out of Brooklyn, her mother began providing event design services to her church as a way to give back. In 2020, Neesha thought of combining event planning with helping her community and this is when the planning stages of A Walk in the Parks commenced.
Neesha’s goal is to help others make memorable moments and help those in need, simultaneously.
Fun Facts
Favorite Color: I have a few! Pink for accessories and earth tones for attire.
Hobbies: Lifting things up and putting them down (working out), shopping (I have a slight shoe addiction), cooking, reading (love psychological thrillers), and spending time with my fur baby, Maximus.
Favorite Type of Event: I love all events, but Baby Showers (loved them since I was a kid) and Weddings hold a special place in my heart.
Favorite Food: Anything Guyanese, salmon, and breakfast foods (I love cereal).
Places Traveled: In the U.S.; New York (does this even count?), New Jersey, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, Nevada, Illinois, Utah, California, and Texas.
Outside of the U.S.; England (lived there 3 years), Scotland, Switzerland, Italy (my favorite), Germany, Belgium, Greece, Spain, Croatia (2nd favorite), Kosovo, Albania, Guyana (of course), Trinidad, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, St. Maarten, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Indonesia, Malaysia, and Australia.

A Walk In The Parks Events
A Walk In The Parks was founded by Neesha Parks in 2020. The goal of A Walk In The Parks is to provide quality event planning, coordination, and design to all. We provide three levels of service which are named after different flower formations—garden (event planning), bouquet (event coordination), and petals (event design & decor). Every customer will come in knowing what type of flower (event) they would like. The job of A Walk in The Parks is to form the flower the way you would like. After you choose us to produce your event, you will also get to choose a charity that a portion of your payment will go to.
